Raymond P. Truman, 77 of Cedar Springs, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. Ray was born June 23, 1933 in Muskegon Heights, MI the son of Cecil and Mary (Bailor) Truman. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years including the Korean War. He had worked as an Electronics Technician at Continental Teledyne and in maintenance. He was a member of the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church, and enjoyed computers. On October 10, 1986 he married Anna Rau and enjoyed being part of her family over the years. Surviving are his wife, Anna; children, Judith Meihls of Belmont, Joseph (Susan) Benedict of Pierson, Carolyn (Jim) Lynema of Sparta, Randall (Pam) Benedict of Cedar Springs, Robert (Kim) Benedict of East Grand Rapids; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; brother, Kenneth Truman of Texas. The family will greet friends Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church. Pastor Mary Ivanov officiating.
