Sand Lake Lions Club breakfast

The Sand Lake Lions Club is holding a free informational breakfast at the Sand Lake United Methodist Church education building (corner of 6th and Maple Streets) in the Village of Sand Lake on Saturday, October 20, at 8:30 a.m. It is possible to get to the church even during the road construction on Lake Street.

Several District officers will be there to give very brief presentations and answer questions you may have about the world’s largest service organization, which has just under 1.5 million members. We would appreciate it if you would call either 616-636-5425 or 616-347-6122 with an RSVP. We pledge to be done by 10:30 a.m.

If you live or work in the Sand Lake vicinity, can believe in the Lions’ motto: “We Serve,” and can relate to a recent slogan, “Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion,” we invite you to attend, learn more and join us in serving our local, national and world communities.

The Lions Clubs International Foundation recently granted $10,000 to the White Cloud Lions Club to distribute to victims of the recent tornado in the Baldwin/Idlewild area. These dollars were distributed in less than a month from the time of the tornado to t he local food pantries, shelters, and families who lost so much in this disaster. This is just one example of the many things accomplished through the power of the people working together.
