Lightning strikes twice for Cedar bowling coach

 Bill Heath

Cedar Springs bowling coach Bill Heath

Cedar Springs bowling coach Bill Heath has been bowling for 30 years and never had a 300 game until Dec 27. Heath was bowling in a Monday night league at Westgate Bowl when he threw 12 strikes for his first 300 game.
Afterward, he said, “I was nervous but I had been to the last ball before actually two times last year and I shot 298 both times. I was really happy I made it. I just want to throw a 800 series now and my bowling career will be complete!”
It’s funny he said that because on Jan 15, in the Saturday mixed league at Rockford Lanes, Heath put together games of 300, 290, and a 246, for a whopping 836 series!
When asked how he felt Heath said, “Its a dream come true.  I felt like if I ever was going to have an 800 series it would be at Rockford. My high school team bowls there, we practice there and Cory Brown, the owner of Rockford lanes, is a good lane man. He has the shot at Rockford as good as one I have ever seen! He does a good job!”
Congratulations Bill Heath!
