Anna Bishop and Joseph Raisch, both of Cedar Springs are planning a wedding for June 25, 2011 at Pilgrim Bible Church. Anna is a 2009 and Joseph is a 2008 graduate of Pilgrim Bible Academy. Both are currently attending God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Parents of the bride are Morris and Sonja Bishop of Cedar Springs. Parents of the groom are Tom and Denise Raisch of Cedar Springs.

On Thursday night, January 6, the Pilgrim Bible Academy basketball and volleyball teams traveled to Muskegon to play Broadway Baptist in front of a fired up crowd.
The basketball team came away with a 52-48 loss that came right down to the wire. Junior guard Matt Metz led the team in scoring with 23 points. Their record is now 4-2.
Following the basketball game, the volleyball team won in five sets, a match that also came down to the wire. Sophomore Cassie Long Tyler came up big in the last set with four blocks at the net. The win improved their record to 9-2.
Come on out and cheer on the Pilgrim Bible basketball team Friday night at 6 p.m. as they take on Cadillac.

In front of a packed house Thursday night, December 9, the Pilgrim Bible Academy volleyball team won three close sets over Lighthouse 25-22, 26-24, and 25-16. The team was led by juniors Erin Brecken and Makayla Ogden. Their record now stands at 7-2.
The Pilgrim Bible basketball team also won over Lighthouse in a blowout 61-29. The team was led by junior Josh Cole with 25 points, and freshman James Raisch, with his first double double of the year—14 points and 10 rebounds.
On Friday, December 10, the basketball team traveled to Beth Haven and lost their first game of the year, 59-39. Matt Metz led the team with 17 points. This brought their record to 3-1.

The Pilgrim Bible Academy volleyball and basketball teams traveled to Kalamazoo to play Lighthouse last week.
The girls volleyball team came away with a win when they took three out of four sets. They lost the first set 25-19, then came back and won three close games in a row. Erin Brecken, Emma Bishop, and Aubrey Slocum led the team in play. This brought their record to 6-2.
The boys basketball also came away with a win in a low scoring game, 49-31. They were led by junior Matt Metz with 19 points, and seniors Josh Cole (18 points) and Jordan Price (4 points and 18 rebounds).
Come out and support the team tonight when they play at home at Pilgrim Bible Church on Pine Street at 5:30 p.m.
