Kent District Library now offers online video games

Kent District Library is pleased to offer OnePlay, a digital gaming service that allows patrons to instantly download and play unlimited Android and PC games for free with their KDL library card. OnePlay includes over 2,000 games from more than 75 publishers. The collection contains over 1,500 PC titles and more than 500 Android titles.
Patrons can download the games they want to their computer or device and play them whenever and wherever they are—no holds, no waiting. An Internet connection is required to download and activate the game, but games can be played while offline.
Kent District Library is the first library in Michigan and one of the first nationwide to offer this service.

“KDL is thrilled to expand our virtual offerings to videogames through OnePlay,” said KDL’s Executive Director Lance Werner. “OnePlay will enable library users to access videogames anywhere and we feel that it will be very attractive to our teenage card holders. Most importantly, it’s fun and that is what KDL is all about!”
Patrons can visit KDL’s Downloads page at http://www.kdl.org/downloads to get started.

Kent District Library is a public library system operating 18 branch libraries. KDL serves nearly 400,000 residents of 27 governmental units, comprising most of Kent County, Michigan. KDL is an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by millage dollars and private donations.
