David Lee Boorsma, age 74, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Life Path Hospice House in Ruskin, Florida.  He is survived by his wife, Mary; eight children; 18 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; in-laws; many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, and grandson.  Dave was born May 11, 1937 in Grand Haven, MI. He joined the Marines and was involved in the Korean War. After the Marines, he found work in Sparta Foundry and retired after 30 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11am at Hillcrest Church of God, 5994 18 Mile Rd in Cedar Springs, with a luncheon immediately following.  In lieu of flowers, please donate, in Dave’s name, to Life Path Hospice, 3723 Upper Creek Dr, Ruskin, FL 33573.
