A Pierson Township man woke up Sunday morning, at about 4:30 a.m., to the sound of spinning tires. And with good reason—he saw a white male, possibly under the influence of alcohol, who had his vehicle stuck on top of a mailbox post and road sign.
The man who saw the truck reported it at 8:46 a.m. Montcalm County Deputies responded to the scene at the intersection of Kimball and Daggett Roads, in Pierson Township. They found the Chevrolet S -10 on top of the mailbox post and road sign, but the driver was nowhere to be seen.
Deputies later located the driver, Jacob Isiah-Wilson Jordan, 27, of Sand Lake, at his home. He was cited for failing to report an accident as well as violation of the basic speed law. Alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. There were no reported injuries.
