The Post went on a cruise with Jerry and Rose Bowman, of Cedar Springs, to Central America and the Panama Canal January 3-19.

The couple said the area was very different and they saw a lot of cobblestone streets. The people were poor but very friendly. They also visited an area where a volcano had erupted.
