Death is a GATEWAY

we all must pass through

To reach that Fair Land

where the soul’s born anew,

For man’s born to die

and his sojourn on earth

Is a short span of years

beginning with birth…

And like pilgrims we wander

until death takes our hand

And we start on our journey

to God’s Promised Land,

A place where we’ll find

no suffering nor tears,

Where TIME is not counted

by days, months or years…

And in this Fair City

that God had prepared

Are unending joys

to  be happily shared

With all or our loved ones

who patiently wait

On Death’s Other Side

to open “THE GATES”!

Mrs. Ardath Bowers, age 93, of White Cloud, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.  She was a 1937 graduate of Rockford High School.  From 1962 to 1972 Ardath worked for the Meijer store in Cedar Springs.  Since 1942 she was a member of First Baptist Church of Cedar Springs.  Ardath, a godly wife, mother, and grandmother, is survived by her loving husband, Leon “Jack”, whom she married in 1938; children, James and Sharon Bowers, Jerry and Helene Bowers, Nancy and Pastor Mike Bergman, Bruce and Claudia Bowers; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Sevey; and nieces and nephews. The Service of Praise and Thanksgiving for the gift of everlasting life through Jesus Christ for Mrs. Bowers was held Sunday, January 29, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cedar Springs with Pastor Jim Howard and Pastor Mike Bergman officiating.  Interment in Algoma Township Cemetery.
