In loving memory of our friend and neighbor, a talented story teller who could keep us amused for hours. As a member of many community organizations, lay-pastor, poet, writer, dog lover and loyal friend, she is greatly missed for the love and joy she brought to so many lives.

We can no longer see you with our eyes,
but we will feel you in our hearts forever.
Sometimes you never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.

BLANCHE NAFFZIGER
In Loving Memory of our dear mother, Blanche Naffziger, who passed away January 7, 1999, 23 years ago.
It’s been twenty three years since you went away,
but deep in our hearts it seems like yesterday.
God wanted you in Heaven,
so He came and took you home.
You now walk the streets of gold
and see where Angels roam.
I miss you so much Mom, but I will see you again.
Sadly missed by

Roger Allen
June 20, 1928 – January 5, 2013
January 5th, 2013 is the day on my calendar that is always sad. It was the day that I said good-bye to my father as he passed from this world. No more hugs, can’t pick up the phone and hear his always cheerful voice. He founded The Rockford Squire and then in 1988, The Cedar Springs Post. I took over operations of The Post in 1989.
It was hard. I, along with my mother, worked very long hours, putting out a newspaper every week. When I was having a bad day and feeling overwhelmed, I would pick up the phone call my dad. He would always be there and had a way of making it o.k. He was a great dad and when his time was nearly over, I had the chance to tell him that he was “…the greatest dad in the world.” He smiled. I cried. Miss you dad. Miss your slightly off sense of humor, your weekly column, your advice, your love, and especially your hugs.
Your daughter

Richard M. Reed Sr.
October 9, 1933-January 4, 2004
Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not, what was his church, nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away?
We love and miss you!

In Loving Memory of my wonderful dad, who passed away on December 18, 2005, 16 years ago. I remember that day so well. Colon cancer had ravaged his body, but not his spirit. His warm brown eyes twinkled even in the last hours of his life. He was a giving, hard-working man, who never said “no” to anyone. There was a strong bond between us – when we took care of my sick mom, to the times we stayed up late talking. We took long rides together and we just never stopped talking! I love and miss him so very much. Please, in honor and memory of my beloved dad, don’t put off getting a colonoscopy.
Love you, my Papa Smurf.

In loving memory of my best friend, Barb Van Houten, who passed away on November 5, 2009.
I see beautiful flowers and I think of you. I see a hummingbird and I think of you. I see a Walmart, a thrift shop, a dollar store and I think of you. I see friends chatting and I think of us. I will always treasure our special friendship.
Love you, my Barbarino.
