Storms sweep through area

By Judy Reed

Volunteers move debris out of the road after Tuesday’s storm. Post photos by L. Allen.

Storms swept through Wisconsin, Michigan and northern Illinois Tuesday, bringing large hail, damaging winds, rain, and a couple of minor tornadoes.

Our area saw high winds and light hail, and there was much larger hail to the north. Over 70,000 people in Michigan lost power.

Publisher Lois Allen encountered a couple of large tree limbs down on 19 Mile Rd, and got some photos of good samaritans moving them out of the roadway. A big thank you to all those helping their neighbors after the storm!
