Michigan State Troopers from the Grand Rapids Post responded to a hit and run crash at 14 Mile Road and Myers Lake Wednesday morning, August 4.

A semi traveling eastbound on 14 Mile Road failed to stop at the stop light at Myers Lake and struck a SUV traveling southbound.  The driver of the semi failed to stop and continued towards Greenville.

A “be on the lookout” (BOL) was broadcast for the semi.  Greenville Police located the semi, which had a missing tire and damage from the crash, in the City of Greenville.  Troopers responded to their location, and after their investigation, arrested the driver for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

“This is an excellent example of great multi-jurisdictional teamwork,” said an MSP spokesperson. “Thankfully, the driver of the SUV was not injured!”
