Does your pet need a vaccination? Would you like to get your pet’s photo taken? How about a nail trim for man’s best friend? You can get that done and more on Monday, July 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Totally Pawsome Pet Event, in the Sparta Senior Neighbors parking lot at 100 Ida Red, in Sparta.

The Totally Pawsome Pet Event, put on by Sparta Senior Neighbors and the Humane Society of West Michigan, will allow low income pet owners to have their pets vaccinated, microchipped, tested ($10 each), nails trimmed ($5) and  receive basic pet grooming, food and treats for a significant discount. They are also giving away pet photography, and a nice prize to the best dressed pet.

A food truck will be available at this event for all hungry folks to purchase some delicious dogs. Plus, anyone is welcome to go inside the center for lunch that day at 11:30. They will be serving sliced turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, seasoned brussels sprouts, and oranges. A suggested donation of $2.75 is requested for this wonderful lunch for anyone 60 years or older and $3.75 is required for anyone under age 60.
