Bowlers 3-3 in conference

The Red Hawk Bowlers are off to a solid start this season. The boys and girls teams are both currently in 4th place in the conference with 3 wins and 3 losses each.

Their first match against Thornapple Kellogg on January 27th ended with a loss for both boys 7-23 and girls 9-21. Chloe Fisk had two stellar games 192 and 203. Cody Marshall had a great game of 200 for the boys.

Wayland Union Wildcats were able to defeat our girls 29-1. Andrew Fliearman’s score of 225 and Cody Marshall’s score of 219 helped the boys defeat the Wildcats 29-1.

Our match with Catholic Central was a nail biter that came down to the last frame for the boys! Cody Marshall’s 194 & 204, and Ethan Plummer’s 224 helped push Cedar over the top to win 16-14. The CC girls were able to defeat our girls 26-4.

The Red Hawks girls had a strong come back in their next match with South Christian 27-3. The boys could not defeat the Cougars, even with the great scores by Andrew Fliearman 216 and Alex Steil 199 and 195.

On Monday, February 15, the Red Hawks faced a first place Kenowa Hills team that ended with a solid win for our Red Hawk girls 24-6. Nicole Baker helped the win with a score of 191. Unfortunately, the boys fell to the Knights 23-7. Ethan Plummer posted scores of 222 and 202 and Alex Steil’s 207 score were not quite enough to overcome the Knights.

 Overall, a great start for our Red Hawk Bowlers.
