Holiday celebrations may look a little different this year, but there are still ways to enjoy them! See some of the details below.

CEDAR SPRINGS

Dec. 4: Christmas kit 

Come pick up a Christmas kit at the library from Dec 4th- Dec 23rd. (While supplies last) The Christmas Kits are filled with a Christmas craft, make and take mug, hot cocoa, cookie and treats. 

Dec. 4-5: Visit with Santa via ZOOM

Santa is coming this Friday and Saturday, and you can chat with him online! Hosted by the Cedar Springs Public Library. Click on the event links below to get the Zoom link, meeting ID and passcode information for .

Dec. 4: Virtual Christmas sing-along 

Sing some classic carols with the Cedar Springs Library on Friday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. The video will be posted on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CedarSpringsPublicLibrary.

Dec. 5: Storytime with Mrs. Claus

Enjoy some Christmas story time with Mrs. Claus from 2-3 p.m. It’s an annual tradition at Perry’s Place llc for herbs, teas, and more….This year the annual Storytime with Mrs. Claus event will be a Facebook Live event on our Storytime with Mrs. Claus event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/3316181198436855. Mrs. Claus will check in live to read to you this year due to the COVID restrictions and health concerns. 

Dec. 5: Tree lighting ceremony

The Cedar Springs Area Chamber of Commerce will have a virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Please join us on our Facebook page to view the ceremony.

Dec. 10: Mingle & Shop Late is still taking place on Thursday, December 10 from 5:00-8:00 pm! This is an event encouraging consumers to shop local this holiday season. 

GREENVILLE

The best way to spread Christmas cheer this COVID-19 year, is to decorate your home and/or business and sign up for our Hometown Christmas Porch Parade! Register at: https://tinyurl.com/greenvilleporchparade 

Winning display gets $250 cash prize

Voting will begin Friday, December 4th after the Santa Parade! Announced Friday, December 11th!

SAND LAKE 

Dec. 12: Sand Lake Christmas Around the Park 9:30-11:30am on Saturday, Dec. 12. Santa and Drive-Up Goody Bags, Free Carriage Rides and Hot Chocolate & Cookies from Mr. E’s Pizza. Meet at the tree in the park.

Dec. 12: Drive-By or Walk-Up Live Outdoor Nativity at Sand Lake United Methodist Church. 10:00 am-Noon. Live animals, the holy family, angels singing, a prophet reading the Christmas Story, and the Wise Men. The reading and carols will be broadcast on FM radio in your car.

SPARTA

If you’ve been waiting for Candy Cane Lane, now is the time to get your coat on! The downtown lights are on. Take some time to wander around downtown to take in the lights on Division, then swing through to the 201 E Division parking lot to check out the new Santa’s Workshop. Afterward, you can make your way to Candy Cane Lane, where you’ll find the signature arches lighting the way. A new addition this year is the Gingerbread Forest! If you came to the costume giveaway in October and decorated a Gingerbread man/house, you’ll be able to find your creation there!
