Roger A. Wright age 80 of Cedar Springs, died Friday, September 4, 2020 at his home. Roger was born November 26, 1939 in Grand Rapids, MI the son of Donald and Cornelia (VanHoven) Wright. He was a hard worker, lifelong farmer and worked until he passed away. He loved sweet corn, KFC and enjoyed fishing and eating fish. He attended Huggard Bible Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruth in 2017. He missed her dearly. He was a great father, grandfather and great great-grandfather. Surviving are his son, Alan (Lisa) Wright; grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Dettloff, Nicole (Josh) Hughes, Casey Wright and fiancee, Katie Duffy, Danelle Wright and fiance, Joe Hughes; great-grandchildren, Izzy, Alexis, Bentley, Ahri, Derek, Lily and Karoline; sisters, Sally (Dave) Meyer and Donna Wright; in-laws, Phillip (Mary Ann) Hanes, Dick (Mariea) Hanes, Karl (Kathy) Hanes, Phyllis Kling, Marcella (Roger) Schleder; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded by his parents; in-laws, Max Hanes and Linda Brock. The family greeted friends Wednesday, September 9 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Huggard Bible Church, 8860 – 21 Mile Road, Sand Lake. Pastor Rick Malone officiating. Interment Spencer Mills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Huggard Bible Church.
