theTable at The Springs Church

Dec. 5,12,19: Meals are served every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at The Springs Church on the corner of Oak and Grant. Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28th at 1 pm. All are welcome to theTable to enjoy this meal that is being shared with us! #tfn

Celebrate Recovery

Dec. 5,12,19,26: City Impact, 288 N. Main St. will be holding meetings every Thursday to Celebrate Recovery, a Christ centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, habits or hangups of any kind. 6-6:30 pm – Meet & Greet, 6:30-8 pm Celebrate Recovery. 2nd Chance Acoustic Jam

Dec. 5: 2nd Chance will be having an Acoustic Jam session hosted by the Gitchel’s on Thursday, December 5th from 6 to 9 pm. It will be at 2nd Chance School at 810 – 17 Mile Rd., Cedar Springs (corner of 17 Mile and Olin Lakes Road). 2nd Chance would love to have you join us for an evening of playing with or listening to awesome musicians and support 2nd Chance School at this fundraiser. Jam sessions are tentatively planned every other week. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. $4 donation at the door – 15 and under are free. 3 jam room available and the stage. Live Indoor Nativity at Sand Lake UMC

Dec. 6,7: Live animals will greet you. Come inside and see and talk to: Shephers, Soldiers, Town Merchants, Angels, Wise men, Mary, Joseph and the Christ child. Friday, December 6th from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday, December 7th from 1 to 3 pm. At Sand Lake United Methodist (6th and Maple St.). Enjoy refreshments and stay a while! #48,49b

Koinonia Players Present “It’s a Wonderful Life”

Holiday Open House at the CS Library

Dec. 7: The Cedar Springs Public Library will be hosting their Annual Holiday Open House: Winter Wonderland A Frozen Adventure on Saturday, December 7th from 9 am-12 pm. Join Anna and Elsa for Storytime occurring every 20 minutes throughout the event, take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, make ornaments/crafts/Christmas cards, decorate cookies, check out the Friends of the Library bake sale and so much more. All ages are welcome to attend. Join us for some great family fun as we enter into the holiday season! #49b

Cookie Walk at St. Peter’s

Dec. 7: St. Peter’s Lutheran Ladies Guild is hosting their annual Cookie Walk on Saturady, December 7th. The church is located at 310 East Division in Rockford. It begins at 9:00 am and ends when the cookies are gone. Cookies are sold for $6.00/pound and you select from many holiday favorites. Stop-in and check a little holiday baking off your busy list! The Guild donates proceeds to various charities. #49b

Christmas Bake Sale

Dec. 13: The Sand Lake United Methodist Women are offering homemade goodies for your Christmas gatherings or just for your sweet tooth. Friday, December 13th from 9 am to 5 pm at the Sand Lake Independent Bank. #49,50b

Cookie Walk – North Kent Presbyterian Church

Dec. 14: North Kent Presbyterian Church will host its 24th Annual Christmas Cookie Walk Saturday morning, December 14th from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Just $8.00/box or 4 boxes/$30.00. Public VERY welcome! Choose your own selection from more than 25 varieties of delicious homemade Christmas cookies. The church is located at 6175 Kuttshill Drive NE, Rockford (1 block west of Wolverine Blvd., north of Rogue River, just north of Blythefield Country Club.) Come early for a great selection! Cookies make great gifts for neighbors, teachers, mail carriers, and friends, too! Proceeds to go the missions. Santa’s Coming to Town in Sand Lake

Dec. 14: Fun for the whole family. Bring your cameras! Santa will be at the VFW (5th and Lake St.) on Saturday, December 14th from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Hot chocolate and cookies, crafts and prizes. FREE Horse Drawn Carriage rides from 10 am to noon at Salisbury Park, sponsored by Sand Lake Chamber of Commerce. #49-50b
