Benefit for Steve Austin Family

Oct. 27: Steve Austin served our community in multiple sports as a ref, umpire, coach, mentor and above all our friend! A benefit will be held on Saturday, October 27th at Skinner Field (behind Morley Park) in Cedar Springs. Games throughout the Day – 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm, 5:30pm, 7pm and 8:30pm. Donation at the Gate – $5/Family or $2/Individual – Your donation will get you a raffle ticket that will go into a drawing for a Detroit Lions Helmet. We will announce the winning ticket at Half Time of the last game and post on our Facebook Page. No need to be present to win. 50/50 Raffles at each game, announcing winners at each half time. Concessions and Spirit Wear will be open! All proceeds from concessions will be donated to the Austin Family. Praise the Lord at Cowboy Church

Oct. 28: 2nd Chance will be having Cowboy Church on Sunday, October 28th at 6 pm. It will be at 2nd Chance School at 810 – 17 Mile Rd. Cedar Springs (corner of 17 Mile and Olin Lakes Rd). Stanwood Free Methodist Chruch Praise Band will share their message and their musical talents. Invite your family and friends. Cowboy Church will be every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Each service will have different people sharing God’s word and music. Cowboy Church will introduce you to 2nd Chance and its vision. The school is in the building stage, which when completed, will teach troubled teens through God and the horse. If you have questions, call 616-293-2150. See you there! #43

Senior Lunch at Pine Grove Community Church

Oct. 31: Dear Senior Friends age 60 or more.  Summer has slipped through our fingers as Fall blows in to takes its place.  These winds of change have blown in a bounty of menu choices of which our cooks have yet to decide which to turn into a tasty delight.  Other tasty delights are yet to be blown in.  Those winds of menu may change a time or two before the meal is served.  The where and when the winds have not changed.  At Noon the 31st October, ride that breeze to the corner M-82 and Beech. #43

East Nelson Annual Turkey Dinner

Nov. 7: East Nelson United Methodist Church will have their annual Turkey Dinner on Wednesday, November 7th from 5 to 7 pm at the church, 9024 – 18 Mile Rd. NE, Cedar Springs. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy, squash, green bean casserole, rolls, relish tray and homemade desserts. Everyone welcome! #43

Solon Center Wesleyan Church Holiday Bazaar

Nov. 10: Do your Christmas shopping at Solon Center Wesleyan Church 14th Annual Holiday Bazaar. Saturday, November 10th from 9 am – 3 pm. 50 vendors, delicious fresh baked goods, 45 booths with 100’s of hand-crafted items, jewelry, and so much more! There’s something for everyone! Rolls & coffee and a lunch counter are also available. The church is located @ 15671 Algoma Avenue, just north of 19 Mile Road. Come early, stay late! #43,44b

Pie Making at HCNC

Nov. 10: Join us for another enjoyable Holiday Pie Making event at Howard Christensen Nature Center! We provide all the fresh ingredients, including handmade dough. You will have three different pies to take home and bake (or freeze for later). We do suggest bringing a cooler or tote to transport your pies home. Event will be held at Camp Lily’s at 530 20 Mile Rd. Saturday, November   10th from 1 to 4 pm. Nonmembers $25/ members $20. Preregistration required. Limited to 30 participants.
