CASSA U13 girls win tournament

The CASSA U13 girls traveled to Traverse City to play in the Autumn Classic Tournament on September 18, where they went 2-1 in the first round. They had a dominating first game, winning 4-0 with great teamwork and all around individual play.
In the second game, they lost a close game 3-2 in the final seconds but came back in the third game with renewed energy and passion to get a 3-0 win to advance to the champion game, where they battled to a 1-0 win.
“Throughout the whole tournament, the girls showed great sportsmanship and teamwork,” said Coach Dan Buchner. “All the hard work they have done since the beginning of the season showed on the field with each of them stepping up their level of play.”
