The Middlebrook family, of Solon Township, traveled to Beaver Island for the first time, over Labor Day weekend, to visit friends. Scot and Sara did a half marathon while there, and the girls—Grace, 7 (left), and Gwen, 4 (right)—even helped “drive” the Emerald Isle ferryboat. And they shared the Cedar Springs Post with the captains!
