Passion Week at the CS United Methodist

Apr. 2-5: Please join us as we celebrate our Lord’s life, death and resurrection. We are located at 140 S. Main St., Cedar Springs. Maundy Thursday, April 2nd: Holy Communion and Tenebrae worship service 7 pm. Everyone is welcome at our Lord’s Table. The Way of the Cross, Friday April 3rd and Saturday the 4th: A time for individual prayer and meditation, 9:30 am until 5:30 pm Friday and 9:30 am until 12:30 pm Saturday. Good Friday Joint Service April 3rd at The Springs Church, 135 N. Grant, at 6:30 pm. Easter Sunday, April 5th: Sunrise Service 8 am. Easter Breakfast, Sunday April 5th at 8:30am. Good Friday Walk and Remember

Apr. 3: Come to Sand Lake and walk with us Friday, April 3rd beginning at noon at Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church and progressing to the Church of the Full Gospel, Resurrection Lutheran Church and ending at Sand Lake United Methodist Church. We will meet and listen to the stories of characters from the Bible that were involved in the Crucifixion of Jesus. Families and youth are encouraged to join us. Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Solon Center Wesleyan

Apr. 4: An Easter Egg-Stravaganza, a celebration for children will be held on Saturday, April 4th from 1 to 2:30 pm at the Solon Center Wesleyan Church. All children 10 years and under are invited to attend. There’ll be games, an Easter Egg hunt, and a special Easter presentation. Two bicycles will be given away as grand prizes. Free Family Easter Carnival

Apr. 4,5: Grace Evangelical Free Church, 4714 – 13 Mile Rd., Rockford will be holding their Free Family Easter Carnival from 10 am to 11:30 am (Egg Hunt to follow at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 4.  Easter Services will be held on Sunday April 5 at 10:45 am. #13

Dinner at the Legion

Apr. 6: On March 16th the American Legion will host a dinner with Pork Chops. Adults $9 and $4 children. The dinner on April 20th will be Swiss Steak. We have to go boxes. American Legion Post 287, 80 S. Main St., Cedar Springs. #13p

Apr. 7: To register for firearm Hunter Safety Classes  at the Red Flannel Rod & Gun Club, call Jim Pope at 231-834-5545 after 6 pm. Classes at the Club, 7463 18 Mile Rd. Cedar Springs, will be Tues. Actors del Arte Ensemble at the Kent Theatre

Apr. 10,11: The Actors del Arte Ensemble of West Michigan will be presenting “Outer Space” a comedic/ parody on the Star Trek and Star Wars characters. Caught up on a secret mission to a far away galaxy, Captain Curt and Mr. Soc take you on a wild ride through the depths of outer space. A fun show for the whole family. Friday, April 10th at 8 pm and Saturday, April 11th at 2 pm and 8 pm at the historic Kent Theatre, 8 N. Main St. Cedar Springs. Tickets at the door. Adults $10, students $4, and seniors $8. #13

Cedar Springs Community Night

Apr. 16: Come to the 29th Annual Cedar Springs Community Night. Free admission! There will be booths, demonstrations, performances, and more. There will be the performances and displays of CSPS Fine Arts Department. Food will be available for purchase at the Boosters concession stand. Thursday, April 16 from 6  to 8:30 pm at the Cedar Springs High School (off East Muskegon east of Main St.) Presented by the Community Action Network in cooperation with the Cedar Springs Public Schools Fine Arts Department.
