Christmas Fund Distribution
Dec. 12: Due to the generosity of the late Evelyn Cossin, there are limited funds available again this year to assist some families in need for Christmas. The funds are available only to families living in the Cedar Springs city limits. Please send or bring letters requesting assistance to: Cedar Springs United Methodist Church, 140 S. Main St., PO Box K, Cedar Springs, MI 49319, C/O Janet Avery. All letters should include some brief summary of your need for assistance. Letters must be submitted and post marked and received NO later than Friday, December 12th. Please note: If awarded some assistance, we will send you a letter informing you of your pick up times of 10 am – noon and 7 – 8 pm on Monday, December 22nd at Cedar Springs UMC. All letters received will receive some notification of acceptance or denial of assistance. #49,50p
Make edible Christmas tree, ornament at library
Dec. 13: Make an edible Christmas tree with frosting and great candy decorations this Saturday, December 13. RSVP for sessions starting at 10am, 11am and 12pm. Great for kids preschool and up! TOPS weight loss support group
Dec. 16: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. Michigan Blood Drive
Dec. 16: Tuesday, December 16th at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church from 12 to 7 pm. Cedar Springs Women’s Club will be donating homemade cookies. Attempt to donate and you could win a $250 shopping spree. In the Spirit of Giving this Christmas, what better gift than the gift of life. For each unit you give, it will benefit three peoples’ life! Holiday Potluck at HCNC
Dec. 20: On Saturday, December 20th at 6 pm to about 8 pm Howard Christensen Nature Center will host a Holiday Potluck. Bring a dish to pass – HCNC will provide turkey and ham. Bring your whole family! Everyone and anyone is invited. This year there will be an “Ugly Christmas Shirt Contest” with prizes. There will also be games. A White Elephant Gift Exchange will be held.
