AA Meetings at Rebos House 

Rebos House, 10 N. First St., Cedar Springs is open on Sunday, 9 am, 2 pm and 7 pm. Monday, noon, 7 pm Big Book, 8:15pm, Tuesday, noon, 5:30 women’s, 7 pm men’s & women’s. Wednesday, noon, 7 pm 12X12, 8:15 pm. Thursday, noon, 7 pm, Alanon 7 pm. Friday, noon, 7 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am, 10 am, 2 pm and 7 pm. #40

 

Red Flannel Food at CS UMC

Oct. 4: Red Flannel Food, eat at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church, 140 S. Main St., Saturday, October 4th from 10 am till 4 pm. Hot dogs, pulled beef BBQ, chips, Nacho chips, fruit and hot and cold drinks, all reasonably priced. Proceeds are used for camp scholarships and other Men’s Group missions. #39,40p

 

Red Flannel Marching Band Invitational

Oct. 4: This year marks the 54th year of continuous operation for the Red Flannel Marching Band Invitational. Performing at the Invitational this year at 17 bands from all over West Michigan and beyond. The Invitational begins on Saturday, October 4 at 8 am with Opening Ceremonies and concludes at 1:45 with an awards ceremony. The Red Flannel Marching Band Invitational is held at Red Hawk Stadium at Cedar Springs High School. Spectator admission to the Invitational is $5 for seniors and students and $7 for all others. Red Flannel Day Talent Show

Oct. 4: Come see great local talent perform on stage at the Kent Theatre, 8 N. Main St., Cedar Springs. Saturday, October 4th, right after the Red Flannel Parade at about 4:30 pm. Tickets are  only $3.00. #39,40

 

CSPS Class of 1964 Reunion

Oct. 4: The CSPS Class of 1964 is holding its 50 year reunion on Saturday, October 4.  Social time will start after the parade at the Cedar Springs Rod and Gun Club on 18 Mile Road.  The cost is $25.00 per person.  You are welcome to make a late reservation.  Contact Joyce Hansen at 696-2173 or jkhansen@surfmagnus.com. The Springs Red Flannel Bounce Bash

Oct. 4: Question: What’s red, sails through the air, and has a smile a mile wide? Answer: Your kids at The Springs Red Flannel Bounce Bash! The Springs Church will have five different bounce houses set up in their parking lot at 135 N. Grant Street, for kids of all ages, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Red Flannel Day. And that’s not all—there will be free food as well. Free inflatables plus free food = free fun! So get your bounce on and head over to The Springs! For more info call 696-2970.

Dinner at the Legion

Oct. 6: American Legion, 80 Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a Swiss Steak dinner on Monday, October 6th, from 5 – 7 pm. Included will be mashed potatoes and gravy, bakes beans, veggies, salad, rolls, dessert and drinks. The cost is $9 for adults, children (12 and younger) $4.00. Come and enjoy home cooking. God’s Kitchen in Cedar Springs

Oct. 7,14,21,28: Join us for dinner every Tuesday. God’s Kitchen – Cedar Springs welcomes families from Northern Kent County and the surrounding area to a Tuesday Evening Meal. Hope Community Church Fall Craft & Vendor Expo

Oct. 11: The best of your favorites plus a mix of exciting new crafters! Unique glassware – recycled artful items, glass blocks – really cool things for in and outdoors; wood items, toys, huge assortment of crochet/knit/sewn items from necklaces to totes to doll clothes and accessories. Children’s Blessing of the Pets

Oct. 12: A children’s Blessing of the Pets will be held in the fellowship hall at The Cedar Springs United Methodist Church, 140 S. Main, on Sunday, October 12th at 2 pm for children grade 6 and under. Medals for all. Please bring an adult and provide restraint for your pet. We would love to meet you and your pet.
