TOPS weight loss support group

Sept. 23: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weigh loss goals! Weigh-ins 8:15-9am, meeting starts at 9:15am. In case of inclement weather, meetings are canceled if Tri-County or Cedar Springs schools are closed. Call Barb at 696-8049 for more information. #38


Senior Lunch at Pine Grove Community Church

Sept. 24: O Boy! We’re having Meatloaf with Mac n Cheese. The veggie if you please, well it ain’t peas. If you’re age 60 or perhaps even older, we invite you to gather all your friends that matter. Then come on down the 24th of September here just as you remember to the Pine Grove Senior Cafe, where you will find the best meatloaf around. Our tables will abound with tasty delights so set your sights on the corner of M-82 and Beech and aim to be here for the meal at Noon. #38


Rummage Sale at Resurrection Lutheran Church

Sept. 25,26: A giant rummage sale will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 180 Northland Dr., Sand Lake on September 25 & 26 from 9 am to 5 pm. #38,39p

Huge Indoor Yard Sale

Sept. 27: Attention shoppers, buyers, and customers of all ages! The Cedar Springs Women’s Club will hold their annual “Indoor” Yard Sale on Saturday, September 27 from 9 am to 2:30 pm at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church located at 140 S. Main on the corner of Main and Church Streets in Cedar Springs. Just follow the signs to the entrance! It’s a great way to get a head start on your Christmas shopping! All items must go!! Sorry, no clothing, shoes or personal care items. Come to shop indoors regardless of the weather. #38,39p

BBQ For Bristol

Sept. 28: Please join us in our effort to help support Bristol and her parents. Born with a heart defect, Bristol has struggled since birth. She and her parents need help now. Join us on September 28th at Long Lake County Park between Cedar Springs and Kent City off 17 Mile Rd. Boat launch side for those familiar with the park. The fun starts at noon. We will have games, horseshoe tournaments, music and food, It will be a great time. $10 suggested donation per person. If you enjoy playing any non-amplified instruments, please bring them along to join in the JAM.
