Model aviation event to benefit wounded warriors


The Wolverine Skyhawks Model Club will be hosting a National Model Aviation Day regional event on Saturday, August 16, to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.

The event will be held at Wolverine Skyhawks Field, at 13540 West Street, in Cedar Springs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All types of remote controlled aircraft are welcome. There will be merchant raffles, prizes, buddy-box flights, and a paintball shoot. Participant fees are $10 landing, and $5 for lunch. Pilots must be AMA members. Register by August 14 and ask about 90-day free AMA and Club membership.Come and support a great cause and enjoy a fun day of RC Model aircraft flying!
