Multiple fire departments are on the scene of a fire in Oakfield Township.

The fire broke out about 5 p.m. Tuesday at 12600 Harvard Avenue, across from the Harvard Bar. The building, which has recently been used as apartments, was formerly a township building.

Oakfield, Courtland, Spencer, Grattan, and Maple Valley Township firefighters are all on the scene to battle the smoke and flames.
