Candy Sue Johnson, 48, of Big Rapids, passed away January 3, 2014. A funeral service was held Saturday, January 11th at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus. Pastor Kimberly Briggs officiated. Visitation was held Friday, January 10 at the funeral home. Candy was born May 19, 1965, in Lakeview, the daughter of Donald and Betty (Bushre) Meno. She loved to play basketball in earlier years and had many trophies from playing at Cedar Springs High School. Candy enjoyed feeding the birds at her fiancé’s house, watching western movies, and playing Euchre with her family. Left to cherish her memory are her mother; Betty Meno; five children, Leon III (Jeannie), Donnie(Victoria), Carmelita Johnson (Aaron), Jeremiah (Debra), and Jennifer; one brother; one sister; 11 grandchildren, and her fiancé Darrell. Candy was preceded in death by her husband; father; and two nieces. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family in lieu of flowers. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
