Help GRCM help Habitat for Humanity

The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum is hosting a supply-raiser for Habitat for Humanity and wants your help. Between August 20 and September 14, bring in a tool from the Habitat for Humanity’s wish list and receive buy-one get-one admission at the Museum. The tool wish-list includes hammers, tape measures, drill bits, painting supplies, and caulk. The full list of supply needs can be found at www.grcm.org/visit/habitatsupplyraiser.

Coinciding with the Kidstruction Zone, the new construction themed exhibit at the GRCM, a partnership with Habitat for Humanity seemed to be a very natural fit. “We want to help other non-profit organizations in West Michigan and pass along the value of giving back to your community to our young guests,” says Jack Woller, Associate Director for the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that requires an average of 8,000 volunteers each year to carry out its work. In addition to volunteer hours, donations are also necessary to the success of the organization. The supply-raiser at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum will aid Habitat for Humanity in their work to revitalize neighborhoods and provide families in need with sustainable housing.

The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum is located at 11 Sheldon Ave. NW, Grand Rapids.
