Student receives scholarship and award

Congratulations to Bailey Zywicki in receiving a 2013 Joyce Ivy Scholarship and one of the three people selected for the Frank Minolli Engineering and Science Award.
The Joyce Ivy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to broadening the college aspirations of talented female high school students to study at top colleges and universities.
The Frank Minolli Award, and the supporting scholarship funds, is provided by the Frank Minolli Foundation to support young women interested in pursuing higher study in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and to honor Frank Minolli.
“The 2013 Joyce Ivy Scholars are top of their class academically and leaders in their school and community,” said Erich Bagen, Joyce Ivy Foundation Board member and Chairman of the Summer Scholars Selection Committee. “As important, Joyce Ivy Scholars are seeking new experiences and a challenge. Our Scholars demonstrate a clear desire to push boundaries and stretch themselves.”
Bailey plans to attend Brown University this summer and take Science, Perception and Reality pre-college course.
