AA Meetings at Rebos House
Rebos House, 10 N. First St., Cedar Springs is open on Sunday, 9 am, 2 pm and 7 pm. Monday, noon, 7 pm Big Book, 8:15pm, Tuesday, noon, 5:30 women’s, 7 pm men’s & women’s. Wednesday, noon, 7 pm 12X12, 8:15 pm. Thursday, noon, 7 pm, Alanon 7 pm. Friday, noon, 7 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am, 10 am, 2 pm and 7 pm. #23

Fall 2013 Soccer Registration
June 6, 8: Thursday June 6 and Saturday, June 8:– American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Weeknights at the Concession Stand 6 – 7:30 pm and Saturdays 9 am – 2:00 pm. All events will be held at Boomer Park – 13440 Ritchie Avenue just south of 17 Mile Road. Take advantage of the Early Bird Fees throughout the week – $55 per player for the fall or $95 for fall and spring seasons. Families registering 3 or more players will receive a $5 discount per player. First time players must show a Birth Certificate for age verification. Registration is now open at www.eayso.org for Membership Year 2013! Complete the online portion and bring a printed copy of the registration form along with payment to one of the events. Vacation Bible School at Solon Center Wesleyan Church
June 10-14: Hey kids, com June 10 – 14th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for VBS at Solon Center Wesleyan Church. It’s “Kingdom Rock, Standing Strong in God’s Power”, where you’ll sing songs, hear great Bible stories, use your imagination and make new friends! Kingdom Rock will also include Tim Black professional yo-yo, magic, comedy, and music man. Friday is “Family Night” at Lakeside campgrounds when the whole family can enjoy s’mores and little train rides. VBS is for children 4 years old through 5th grade. Faith Based Guitar Boot Camp
June 10: A basic training for guitar will be taught at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church. Registration will be held Monday June 10th at 6:00 pm. Students, 10-14 years of age, must be registered on this date.  To register enter at the South door Located on Church Street; class size is limited to 12 students, first come first serve. Registration fee is $55. A parent or guardian is required to sign. Guitar and supplies are furnished. Classes will be Monday evenings for 12 weeks starting June 17th. Classes will provide a time for prayer and devotion. #22,23p

Cedar Springs Garden Club Meeting
June 11: The Cedar Springs Garden Club will meet Tuesday, June 11 at the Community Garden on the corner of 1st and Cherry St., at 7 pm. Everyone is welcome. #23

Magic: Can You Dig It?
June 11 & 19: Tom Plunkard presents an amazing program filled with live animals and loads of audience participation. Witness flowers appearing on your head and garden utensils vanishing and reappearing in the craziest places. Family Building Bricks Party
June 12: Design, build and bond. Bring the whole family together and create a towering monument using the library’s building bricks. The best part? No big mess at home to clean up. Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30 pm. Sand Lake/ Nelson Township KDL branch, 88 Eighth St. #23

Buggy About Bugs
June 12: Six legged creatures among us, let’s find them! Study them! Grab a net and a plastic container or jar and we will be off to the prairie and the woods to see what 6-legged creatures live here at Howard Christensen Nature Center. We will look for eggs and larvae while learning  about insects’ life cycles, find predators and prey and catch and release a bug or two. No log shall be left unturned in this insect adventure. At the end of our day, we will recycle our insects into fish food at our lake Chrishaven. Wednesday June 12, 10 am – 2 pm. Donation of $4.50. Grades Pre-K to 7th grade. Class is limited so sign up quickly! Parents are encouraged to join along free of charge (not required). Bring a brown bag lunch. Bring your own bug containers or borrow ours. #23

Free meal at OLC Family Center
June 13, 27: God’s Kitchen North welcomes Northern Kent County families to join us the 2nd & 4th Thursday each month for an evening meal. No charge – No registration required. Served from 6-7 p.m. at Our Lady of Consolation Family Center, 4865 11 Mile Rd. NE in Rockford. #23

LifeWalk 2013
June 15: Alpha Family Center will host its annual LifeWalk on Saturday, June 15 at 10 am at Morley Park in Cedar Springs. There will be a prayer walk, face-painting, balloons, clowns, refreshments and door prizes. For a pledge form call 616-696-2616 or stop by the Center at 6 N. First St. in Cedar Springs. #22, 23p

Auditions for Summer Production “A Night at the Wax Museum”
June 17,18: Auditions are being held for CS Community Players summer production “A Night at the Wax Museum” The hysterical meets the historical in this comic spoof about the wackiest wax museum you ever hope to visit! Needed to fill the 30 roles are men, women and young adults, ages 15 on up! Auditions for the show will be held on June 17 and 18 at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Performance dates are August 15,16, 17 and 18 at the historical Kent Theatre in downtown Cedar Springs. Cedar Springs Rocket Cheer Camp
June 22: Cedar Springs Rocket Cheer Camp (Grades K – 8th) will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 9 am to Noon at the Cedar Springs Middle School. Also register for the Summer Flag Cheer Program (K – 2nd Grade) or the Fall Rocket Cheer Program (3rd – 8th Grade) at this time!
