DONALD L. DEMOREST

C-DemorestMr. Donald L. Demorest, Sr., age 85, of Greenville, formerly of Howard City and Cedar Springs, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He worked in construction for Erhart Construction as a cement finisher. Don was a member of Grace Community Church. During leisure time, Don liked camping and puttering in his pole barn; but most of all, he enjoyed being with his family, especially on his birthday. Don is survived by his wife, Gloria (nee Wiese); children, Donald L. (Terri) Demorest, James A. Demorest, Sally (Martin) Roelofs, Max Demorest, Sr., Craig (Laura) Demorest, Mrs. Christine Shears, Gloria Dianne Gourley, Debra Seward, Thomas (Felcia) Seward, Cynthia Butt; 35 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; sister, Harriet Caverly. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma, his sons, Vince Russell Demorest, Frank Michael Seward, Jr, his daughter-in-law, Laura Demorest, his son-in-law, Brian Shears, his siblings, Clifford Demorest, Ada Wert, Aldon Demorest, Ashton Demorest, James Demorest, Lawrence Demorest, Bertha West, and Billy Demorest. The service for Mr. Demorest was held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 9920 Reed Road, Howard City, with Pastor Joel Cooper officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Heartland Hospice Service, 3230 Eagle Park Dr., NE, Ste. 201, Grand Rapids, MI.
