Mr. Martin J. Stout, known as Marty, age 50, of Cedar Springs, died Friday, October 26, 2012. He was born September 26, 1962 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Merwin and Alma (Stuthard) Stout. Marty graduated from Tri-County High School in 1980, and was currently employed by Compass Coach in Cedar Springs in the auto body department. He had a long career in the auto body industry and had a great talent and loved to talk about cars. Marty had a love for music and was an experienced guitar player. He is survived by his father, Merwin Stout of Florida; brother Jeff (Debra) Stout of Grand Rapids and by his aunt Gloria (Stuthard) Overla. He is also survived by many cousins and good friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Stout. A graveside memorial service for Marty will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Cedar Springs at 10:00 a.m., Perry Hopkins officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Jeff and Debra Stout for funeral expenses.
