Annual Fall Festival

Nov. 3: The Cedar Springs United Methodist Church Women’s Group is having their annual Fall Festival on Sat. Nov. 3rd from 9 am to 2 pm. Come start your Christmas shopping with us. We will have crafts, gently used jewelry, books, toys, knick knacks, Christmas decorations, along with baked goods. Proceeds are going to the CS United Methodist Women’s missions. #43,44p

Nov. 4: No matter how long it’s been since your loved one died, grief can make the holidays a painful time. But there’s hope. Dinner at the Legion

Nov. 5: The American Legion, 80 S. Main St. Cedar Springs, is hosting a Baked Chicken dinner on Monday, Nov. 5, from 5 – 7 pm. Included will be mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, veggies, rolls, dessert and drink. All dinners are $9, children 17 and under $4. Take out is available. #44p


Turkey Dinner

Nov. 7: The East Nelson United Methodist Church will be serving roast turkey with dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad and homemade desserts from 5-7pm. The cost of the meal is by donation. Women’s Ministry Event

Nov. 9: A “Transforming Experience” will be held at the Solon Center Wesleyan Church on Friday, November 9 at 7pm. A guest speaker will give her inspirational testimony and there will be special music with audience participation, food and door prizes promising a fun and TRANSFORMING Experience. Tickets are just $5, and all proceeds will go to help meet the personal needs of the girls of Kwirenyi High School in Kenya. The church is located at 15671 Algoma Avenue, just north of 19 Mile Road. Nov. 10: Local crafters, bake sale, card corner, Christmas decorations, drawings for quilt & craft items will be at Bethel Lutheran Church on M-46 (just east of Old 131/Federal Rd.) on Saturday, November 10, 9am-2pm. Breakfast and lunch will be served. #44

Christmas Delites Sale

Nov. 10: Christmas Delites Sale at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 1200 Post Drive NE, Belmont (corner of Post & Pine Island drives) Saturday, November 10, from 9 am to 3 pm. We’ll have a fabulous Cookie Walk (a +20 year tradition), Baked Goods, Crafts, and Santa’s Attic. Pine Ridge Bible Camp’s annual silent & live auction fundraiser

Nov. 10: Pine Ridge Bible Camp is holding their annual Silent and Live Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, November 10 at the Cedar Springs High School Cafeteria, 204 E. Muskegon St., Cedar Springs. Registration begins at 5:30pm followed by a large silent auciton; the eveing ends with a live auction. This year’s theme is “Unwrap the Joy.” The auction is an adult only event. Veterans Day Adventure for children

Nov. 12: “Native Ways, It’s Time to be Thankful!” Children will go on a hike to the Thunder-Wood Boardwalk and Swamp House and learn about one of native ways, nature’s habitats and winter survival of the creatures that exist in the Howard Christensen Nature Center, Kent City. Nov. 17: Accomplish your Christmas shopping at our annual craft bazaar, Saturday, November 17 from 9am-3 pm. Lots of vendors (our largest bazaar is many years). Delicious, fresh baked cookies and bars, numerous booths of hand crafted items & jewelry, and many other vendors. There’s definitely something for everyone.
