Dianne (Heiss) Howell, of Pierson, and her twin siser Kathleen (Heiss) Zersen, of Mesa, Arizona recently traveled to Twinsburg, Ohio, for the annual Twinsburg Festival, which is held the first weekend in August. There were 2,090 sets of twins in attendance for the 37th year of the festival.

Each set of twins needed to have a theme outfit on for entry into the parade. Dianne and Kathleen chose to honor the 9-11 firefighters with actual firefighter uniforms borrowed from the firehouse in Kathleen’s hometown of Mesa. She and Dianne placed 4th in the twins look-alike contest.

Dianne and Kathleen are the daughters of Ellen Heiss, of Solon Township. They graduated from Tri County High School in 1963.
