Turk Lake man arrested

Charles Wright

Montcalm County Sheriffís Deputies arrested a 50-year-old Greenville area man this week for possessing stolen property, being a felon in possession of firearms, and felony firearm, as a result of an investigation originating from the Kent County Sheriffís Office.

There had been a rash of thefts from storage units in Kent County and it was discovered that the stolen property was being stored at a home near Turk Lake in Montcalm Township. While recovering stolen property, detectives with the Kent County Sheriffís office met with Charles Lambert Wright. It was discovered that Wright possessed firearms and had past criminal convictions that prohibited him from doing so. He was arrested and arraigned on June 11.
