Creative Technologies Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Hannah Barrett as second grade teacher for 2012-13. Ms. Barrett is a 2010 graduate of Hillsdale College where she received a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Elementary Education, Integrated Science, and Physical Education. She also holds an Early Childhood endorsement. Ms. Barrett has been employed as a kindergarten teacher at Will Carleton Academy in Hillsdale for the last two years. She currently lives in Comstock Park, Michigan.  Ms. Barrett will be available to meet students and parents at the CTA campus on Friday, June 1.

Ms. Barrett will take the position most recently held by Ms. Abby Terry and Ms. Carrie Paddock, who team taught the second grade this year. Ms. Terry will be leaving CTA at the end of this school year to be a “full time mom” to daughters Chloe and Cassidy. Ms. Paddock will remain at CTA as a full time administrator as the Assistant Director of Academics with responsibilities for Curriculum, Instruction, Achievement, and Assessment.

“We will miss Ms. Terry in the classroom,” says Superintendent/School Leader Dan George.  “She has been a wonderful part of our school for a number of years. Ms. Paddock is looking forward to her new administrative responsibilities and we are confident Ms. Barrett will be a great addition to the CTA community.”
