White Creek School
Can you identify these people?
Cedar Springs resident Ed Bremmer brought in this photo of a class at White Creek School, which he believes was taken sometime between 1925-1930. He said his uncle Ernie Bremmer is in the back row, 4th from the left. He is wondering if anyone out there knows who the rest of these students are?
White Creek School was District No. 3 in Solon Township, with a fraction of Nelson Township. It was established in 1860 in a log house near the northeast corner of Egner and White Creek. According to the Cedar Springs Story, it was at one time known as the Fairchild School, because it was sat near the property of Asel B. Fairchild. The log house was later replaced with a frame house. It was the first country school to annex to the Cedar Springs School District No. 5 in 1956.
