4H Country Christmas Store
Dec. 17: The 4H Country Christmas Store, 5815 – 18 Mile Rd., will be held on Saturday Dec. 17 from 9 am – 2 pm. Handmade crafts and goodies, story time with the barnyard animals and Santa at 10:30 am. 4H members will be collecting for “Toys for Tots” and asking if you could bring a new, unwrapped toy, to contribute when you come to story time. Participating children will receive a complimentary book courtesy of the Montcalm County 4H. Proceeds to benefit participating clubs and the 4H Fairground construction project.  #50

Christmas Play at East Nelson UMC
Dec. 18: Come to East Nelson UMC, 9024 – 18 Mile Rd. on Sunday December 18 at 9:30 am and meet Angel ‘Lo’ and Angel friend ‘Behold’. Together they are Lo and Behold, two bumbling angels who get left behind after announcing the birth of Jesus to the shepherds. Their curious adventure becomes a glorious telling of the birth of Jesus, the Messiah. The Christmas play will be fun for all ages so we hope you can come!  #50

TOPS weight loss support group
Dec. 20: Take off pounds sensibly (TOPS), a non-profit weight loss support group for men and women, meets every Tuesday at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Sand Lake. Your first visit is free so come check out what TOPS can do to help you reach your weight loss goals! Exercise 8-8:30am (optional), weigh-ins from 8:30am–9am and the meeting starts at 9:15am. Gown fundraiser for library
Jan. 7: Shop for the 8th grade dance, Swirl and Prom and benefit your library! Gently-used dresses will be sold on January 7 at the Cedar Springs High School Media Center from 8am to 12pm. Short dresses will sell for $20 each and long dresses for $35. What a deal! We are still in need of your fabulous used gowns for the sale. Drop them off at Cedar Springs City Hall and get a $50 tax write-off for a short gown and $100 tax receipt for a long dress.
