Festida Foods moves to Grand Rapids

Festida Foods, a long-time manufacturer of tortilla chips in Cedar Springs, is moving its operation to a warehouse in Grand Rapids. The manufacturer bought a facility in the Union Station Industrial Park at 219 Canton SW.

The company, which is in need of more space, tried to expand its operation here, but found the expense to add on to be cost prohibitive.

Festida employs about 30 people, many from the area. They hope to add 10-20 more jobs over the next year.

Raul Vega, who retired three years ago, founded the company. He passed away in March.
