Kenneth E. Beardsley 88, of Pierson died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Metron of Cedar Springs.  Kenneth was a WW II Marine Corps combat veteran.  He was preceded in death by his wife Norma, in 1982, to whom he had been married since 1946, and twelve brothers and sisters.  Surviving are his daughters, Diana (Allan) Hudson of Caledonia and Linda (Rick) Hojnacki of Pierson; four grandchildren, Todd (Katherine) Hudson, Scott Hudson, Kevin (Wendy) Hojnacki and (Brian) Keri Hoag; six great grandchildren, Tyler and Erica Hoag, Makaila and Vegas Hojnacki, and Rosalie and Kenneth Hudson; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Betty Beardsley of Florida and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation at Bliss-Witters and Pike Funeral Home was Monday with funeral services following. Rev. Fr. Joseph Kenshol officiated. Military honors were under the auspices of the Kent County Honor Guard.  Interment took place at Resurrection Cemetery on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
