Concert in the Park
June 16: Concert in the Park Thursday night with the Mane Street Band! Concert starts at 7 p.m. in Morley Park in Cedar Springs. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. If there is bad weather, it will be moved to Cedar Springs Middle School, at the corner of Northland Drive and 16 Mile Rd. #24

Auditions for “Leading Ladies” by Ken Ludwig
June 20 – 21:The Cedar Springs Community Players are pleased to announce auditions will be held for their August production of “Leading Ladies” a comedy by Ken Ludwig who also wrote “Lend Me a Tenor” and “Moon Over Buffalo.” Needed are 5 men and 3 women (ages 20-50+). A variety of backstage and technical positions also need to be filled, and the Players welcome anyone who has an interest in theater and/or drama. It’s a great way to make new friends and have some fun to boot! Auditions will be held at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church on Main Street on Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21 from 7 pm to 8 pm. Queen Pageant – Final call for the Red Flannel Queen Scholarship Pageant!
June 20: Any young ladies who will be Juniors in the fall of 2011 living in the Cedar Springs School District, with a 3.0 GPA, are eligible to participate (you do not have to be attending CSHS). CTA, Algoma Christian, etc. and any home-schooled students are eligible. American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Fall Soccer Registration
June 21 – 23: Late registration opportunity for fall 2011 will be held at McDonald’s Restaurant at 4141 17 Mile from 6:00-8:00pm. each evening. The fee is $50 per child for fall or $85 per child for fall and spring seasons. Families registering 3 or more players will receive a $5 discount per player. SCORE Business Counseling
June 23: SCORE to present “Overview to Planning and Starting your Business” workshop in Greenville. This comprehensive workshop covers all aspects of starting a business. Enjoying Life: Learn How Relaxation Can Help You
June 29: Dr. Amy L. Jarchow a licensed clinical psychologist with Human Resource Associates will be leading this special presentation at the Anxiety Resource Center on Wednesday, June 29 at 7 pm. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn how to enjoy living more fully in the moment. The presentation will include an overview of mindfulness – based stress reduction and general relaxation techniques. There is no cost to attend, but please reserve a seat by calling 616-356-1614. Kent Theatre Golf Outing
July 9: The 11th Annual Kent Theatre Golf Outing Fundraiser will be held at Cedar Chase Golf Course-7155 17 Mile Road, Cedar Springs, MI 49319 on Saturday, July 9th, 2011.  Shotgun Start at 2:00 pm, sign-up at 1:00 pm.  Cost is $50.00 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, free hot dogs and brats during the round and dinner with pulled pork sandwiches, salad, and dessert when round is over.  Loads of contests including a $10,000 Hole-In-One Challenge on #8.
