Vacation Bible School @ Solon Center Wesleyan Church
June 13-17: Hey kids, come June 13-17th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM for VBS at Solon Center Wesleyan Church.  It’s Meet Me at the Campfire – Love, God”, where you’ll sing songs, make crafts, hear great Bible stories and make new friends!  VBS is for children 4 years old through the 5th grade.  Friday night is “Family Night” around the campfire when the whole family can enjoy s’mores. Also, for 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade…Sports Camp with Pastor Tom. Around the World – Easy at 1, 2, 3
June 15: Young children love to count. Kids ages 6 and under are invited to Kent District Library’s Around the World – Easy 1, 2, 3, a free program. Wed. June 15, 6:30 pm at the Sand Lake/ Nelson Township KDL, 88 Eighth St. Come explore new cultures with stories, songs, and crafts that celebrate counting around the world. Activities include painting with water colors, hopscotch, bowling, a parachute game and much more! #23

Strawberry Festival
June 18: The annual strawberry festival at South Ensley Methodist Church (the corner of 136th Street and Cypress) on June 18 from 5 – 7 pm. Sloppy Joes and hotdogs, salads, shortcake and ice cream. Donations accepted. #23

Roast Beef Dinner
June 20: The Rockford Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3946 at 4195 – 13 Mile Rd. is hosting a Roast Beef Dinner June 20th from 11:30 am – 2 pm. Adults $8, Children $3.50. The best dinner in town! Prepared by our chef Fred Chambers. Check out our website, www.Rockfordvfwpost3946.org.  #23

Auditions for “Leading Ladies” by Ken Ludwig
June 20-21:The Cedar Springs Community Players are pleased to announce auditions will be held for their August production of “Leading Ladies” a comedy by Ken Ludwig who also wrote “Lend Me a Tenor” and “Moon Over Buffalo.” Needed are 5 men and 3 women (ages 20-50+). A variety of backstage and technical positions also need to be filled, and the Players welcome anyone who has an interest in theater and/or drama. It’s a great way to make new friends and have some fun to boot! Auditions will be held at the Cedar Springs United Methodist Church on Main Street on Monday and Tuesday, June 20 and 21 from 7 pm to 8 pm. AYSO Fall Soccer Registration
June 21 & 23: Late registration opportunity for fall 2011 will be held at McDonald’s Restaurant at 4141 17 Mile from 6-8pm on Tuesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 23. The fee is $50 per child for fall or $85 per child for fall and spring seasons. Families registering 3 or more players will receive a $5 discount per player. First time players must present a birth certificate for age verification. Please consider pre-registering online then take advantage of our Express Lane.
