On Saturday November 20, the annual Cedar Springs Christmas Tea was held at the home of Mark and Shelly Herp, on Sandy Oak Trail, Cedar Springs. The theme this year was Grandma’s Attic. The hostesses brought centerpieces, wall hangings, candles, pillows, toys, wrapped gifts and other treasures from “Grandma’s Attic” to decorate the Herp’s home for the tea.
The 125 guests, including Red Flannel Queen, Tinsley Nulph and her Court, were met at the door by one of the 17 hostesses who directed them to see the home and enjoy cookies, sandwiches, punch, coffee and Red Flannel Tea. The beautiful weather added to the enjoyment and fun of the afternoon. This year, as in past years, the guests brought many children’s books, which were donated to the Cedar Springs Public Library.
