Going green

Going green at Cedar View Elementary means more than just recycling paper.

Mr. Gregory’s fourth grade class learns about rhythm using the water bottles.

First year music teacher Miss Linda Janik partnered with a local water bottling company for empty unused water jugs. She then made them into drums for Music class. The project allowed the students at Cedar View to have some percussion instruments and it also saved the district about $3,000.

Miss Janik’s creativity has helped students and staff realize there is more than one way to go green.
