The Cedar Springs JV football team traveled to Coopersville to take on the Broncos in their first conference game.
The JV Red Hawks faced adversity for the first time this season. Heading toward the end of the second quarter, they were trailing 16-6. They turned the game around with just minutes left in the second quarter, and entered halftime leading 20-16. They controlled the ball well during the third quarter, and the Red Hawk defense held the Broncos at bay while the offense took it in for another touchdown.
Again, it was victory for the JV Red Hawks because of a great team effort, both offensively and defensively. The defense worked hard with multiple tackles and quarterback sacks. The offense kept running it up the field The final score ending at 26-16 Red Hawks.
The JV Red Hawks will host Forest Hills Northern this Thursday.
