Joseph G. Patin, 85 of Sand Lake, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010. Joe was born June 26, 1925 in Ensley Township, MI the son of Phillip and Mary (Hausman) Patin. He retired from McInerny Spring & Wire in 1985 after 36 years of service. He loved riding his motorcycle, snowmobiles, flying his airplane and camping. Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Horter) whom he married on October 26, 1946; children, Donald and Maureen Patin, James and Sandy Patin, Catherine Patin, Marie Patin, Mark Patin, Patricia Patin, Gerri (Ralph) VanOcker, RoseAnn Patin; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Sr. Mary Philip Patin, Sr. Mary Phyllis Patin, Margaret (Henry) Kalman; brothers, John (Rosie) Patin, Fred (Mary Lynn) Patin, Peter (Carole) Patin, Anthony (Patricia) Patin; sister-in-law, Donna Dunaven; many nieces and nephews.; his cat, Lucky. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brenda Lynn VanOcker; sister, Mary Lou Patin; brother, Alfonso Patin. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Bliss-Witters & Pike Funeral Home, Cedar Springs, www.blisswitterspike.com where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Apostles Church, Sand Lake. Rev. Fr. Joseph W. Kenshol celebrant. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sand Lake.
