James C. Remington, 80 of Cedar Springs, went home to be with The Father on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at his home. He was born April 8, 1930 in Cedar Springs, MI the son of Cyril and Lovisa (Spaulding) Remington and was one of eleven children. He was a career veteran of the U.S. Army Aviation, life member of the American Legion Post 287 and Amvets Post 1234. He retired from Meghielse Tool & Die Company. Surviving are five children, Brenda Satterfield of the home, James Remington of Louisiana, Joy Horn of Tennessee, Jeannette Shaw of Oklahoma, Janice Nash of New Hampshire; five sisters, Ann Pellows, Opal Lewis, Beth Vogel, June Woderek, Virginia Staal; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service with honors will be held Tuesday, September 7 at 11:00 am at the American Legion Post 287 in Cedar Springs. Private family interment at Elmwood Cemetery.
