Sparta Town & Country Days

If you are looking for some great family fun, a trip to Sparta Town and Country Days just might be the ticket. The annual fair will be held July 14-18 in various locations around Sparta.

Middle-schooler Madeline Cook came up with this year’s theme, “Small town with a big heart,” and Beth Berkompas created the logo from her theme idea.

Sparta may be a small town, but it has lots of events to choose from, including rummage, bake and book sales, carnival rides, a community pig roast, a watermelon eating contest, banana split eating contest, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, co-ed volleyball tournament, arm wrestling competition, a wrestling ring where you can put on a foam suit and wrestle Sumo style, pony rides, kids parade, grand parade, petting zoo, beer tent, music, and much more!

See the schedule on their new website at www.spartafair.com.
