Force tramples Rampage

The West Michigan Force (1-1) beat division rival Flint Rampage 20-12 (1-1) on the Rampage’s home turf last weekend.

The Force running attack was hitting on all cylinders, led by rusher Joey Barnes (#10), who had 18 attempts for 128 yards.

Rookies Delano Radcliffe and Marcus Renwick both scored on the ground with runs of 9 yards and 5 yards.

Kicker Mirza Causevic added 2 field goals from 45 and 28 yards to finish off the offensive attack for the Force.

The Defense was led by CB Jason Mills, from Jenison, recording 4 tackles and an interception returned 25 yards, and #5 LB Preston Gee with 5 Tackles and a sack.

Flint’s scores came from the top running back in the state, Dre Broach, with runs of 85 and 2 yards. The Force stopped both 2-point conversions.

This weekend the Force travels to Toledo, Ohio to take on the Northwest Ohio Knights (0-2). They will be back in Cedar Springs at Skinner Field on June 26.
