The Cedar Springs Police Department is asking your help to identify or locate the family of a small girl named Lexi.
In November 2009, a local organization in Cedar Springs was conducting a food drive, and called the police department after finding a greeting card, photo in a frame, and a $100 money order inside a bag of food that was dropped off.
The greeting card is to a man’s young daughter named Lexi. The photo shows her as a four or five-year-old playing on a slide with her father. The man has large tattoos on his upper right arm and across his upper back. The card, with a hand-written message says, “I think about you every day. I love you more than the world and can’t wait to see you. Love dad.”
The money order was purchased at Meijer/Western Union.
“We would very much like to return these items to the right owner,” said Cedar Springs Police Chief Roger Parent.
If you know who Lexi is, or have possible leads on contacting the father of this young child, we would appreciate hearing from you. Anyone with information should call the Cedar Springs Police Department at (616) 696-1311.
Hey nice job Cedar Springs Post and Cedar Springs Police for making this effort!
